Children and Aikido
AikidoPond will not take children under 8 years of age.
Any child will need to have a parent or another adult accompany them in class. This is mandatory until the child is comfortable with the dojo and training and that sensei is comfortable that the child is able to conduct themselves in a safe and mature manner along with the ability to fellow instructions. The child will practice with the parent the majority to the time at the beginning then slowly introduce them to other partners of their age group. When the student is comfortable working with their classmates as they are with their parent the child will work more with their classmates and gives the parent time to practice with other adults and have a break.
